Stop distractions when you need to work

Clearlock is a productivity app, made to help you concentrate, by blocking access to apps that distract you.

Ooh a notification!

Yeah, we're looking at you Facebook and Twitter. But whatever app you find yourself absent mindedly browsing while you should really be doing something else, Clearlock can block access to that too.

This is a super simple app to use. When you open it, you see a list of all your installed apps. Simply check the ones you want to block, then set a timer for how long you want to block them. That's it! Now, when you try to open any blocked apps, you'll see a message saying 'closed by ClearLock'.

Wait or reboot

The only way you can get around ClearLock is to reboot your Android device. That's not difficult, of course, but it is time consuming and probably more trouble than it's worth.

If you change your mind, you can actually add more apps to your currently blocked list, but of course you can't remove them until the timer is up. We'd like to see more features in future versions, like schedule that you could set to have a couple of hours distraction free at a set time every day. But as it is, ClearLock works very well.

End phone distractions whenever you need

ClearLock is a great example of an app that does exactly what it claims, nothing more, nothing less, and with no annoying or intrusive ads to boot. It's a simple productivity tool that's quick and easy to use, and a great help to anyone who finds their eyes and fingers regularly wandering away from work towards their smartphone.

PROS
